Lash Care

We want you to look fabulous, but we also want to keep your own lashes healthy. Not only do we follow strict hygiene protocols, we also find the correct extensions for your eyes. We won’t use any type of extension or style that’s likely to damage your own lashes. You can do your part by following our simple lash care guidelines.

Our Simple Lash Care Guidelines:
✓ Don’t wet lashes for 6 hours following application.
✓ Don’t rub, pull, or try to remove your lashes, and treat gently when washing or removing makeup.
✓ Don’t use any strip or other false lashes
✓ Don’t use any oil-based eye products: mascara, liner, creams, etc.
✓ Don’t tint, perm, or curl your lashes.
✓ Avoid high heat air sources such as ovens, hair dryers, and saunas.
✓ Sleep on your back.

Q & A

It’s possible to get too much of a good thing, including lash extensions. Applying too many extensions – or even the wrong type – can damage your natural lashes. It’s not one size fits all, though. While you yourself might be endowed with a lot of thick strong lashes and able to handle a full set of heavier extensions, your friend might not, and the same treatment could damage her lashes. This is why we carefully evaluate your lashes and apply only types of extensions and styles that are safe for your eyes.

Unfortunately, not all salons follow this policy, and we sometimes see clients come in with badly applied extensions from other salons. We hope you come see us, but if not then we encourage you to choose a lash artist who cares about your natural lashes.

You lose extensions along with your own lashes as part of the natural shedding and regrowth cycle. It can take up to eight weeks to lose all your extensions, depending how full your own lashes are and how far along they are are in their cycle. Most people begin to notice thinning before this, though. To maintain a full look, most people get refills every two to three weeks.

Make sure to follow our lash care guidelines to ensure that your extensions last as long as possible.

Extensions themselves are not usually a problem, but some people can have an allergic reaction to the glue. For such clients we have specially formulated mild glue. If you have sensitivities or are concerned you may be allergic to lash glue, we can do a small patch test to make sure you’re okay.

Note: It’s possible to become allergic to glue even if you’ve previously been okay with it. If this should happen to you, contact us ASAP and schedule an appointment to have your lashes removed.
